DG Joe and Nancy Beltz, Teresa Holder, Shawna Smith, Brian Pence
Brian Pence, Director of OMC Cancer Treatment Center, presented an informative program on the cutting edge lung cancer treatment that is available there.
DG JOE BELTZ: District Governor Joe Beltz presented two banners two our club for Foundation giving for 2013-2014. He also informed members that District 6080 will have a Food Fight Drive from June 26-July 31. The two teams are Dulle vs Beltz. More information will be forthcoming.
ROTARY FOUNDATION MINUTE: Bill Franz presented a Foundation Minute about the Peace Fellows Program.
ROTARY CLUB CONSTITUTION: Feb. 4 The proposed amendments to our club constitution passed. It will go into effect July 1, 2015.
ELECTION OF 2015-2015 BOARD MEMBERS DECEMBER 17: The results of the Election are: President-Steve Russell, Mike Harber-President Elect, Ken McKenzie-Vice President, Bill Franz-Treasurer, Jennifer Crowe-Secretary. The Board Members are Doyle Fink and Neil McWilliams.
BOARD MEETING: There was a Board meeting on May 12 at noon at Fred's Fish House. The Board voted to fund the following requests: Ozarka College Foundation ($250), Mammoth Spring VFW Ladies Auxiliary Junior Girls Unit ($200) to help with expenses at a convention in Hot Springs June 4-5, July 4 Fireworks at Thayer Football Field ($500), and Couch PTO ($500) to help upgrade playground equipment.
ROTARY RADIO AUCTION: Steve Russell reported that the Auction had brought in almost $11,000. He thanked members for their help with this fundraiser. Steve reported that more than $10,000 has been collected from the Auction. Most of the money has been collected. Steve has collected 98% of Auction money.
ROTARY COMMUNITY GARDEN: Bob Cicigoi requested that members contact him if they have questions about the garden. Most of the plots have been sold.
NEW MEMBER: Trena Spears welcomed Glynda Pryor back as a member of our club.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT FEDERAL FISH HATCHERY: Trena Spears announced that volunteers are needed to help in the Gift Shop and at the ponds at the Federal Fish Hatchery.
JULY 4 CELEBRATION: Bob Eckman announced that the July 4 celebration will be held at the Thayer High School Football Field.
MEMORIAL DAY PROGRAM: Doyle Fink announced that the Memorial Day Program will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Veteran's Memorial at Walnut and Front Street. He also announced that the American Legion will place flags along the entrance to the Thayer Cemetery on May 22. Citizens are welcome to take flags to other cemeteries in the area.
ANNUAL INSTALLATION BANQUET: The annual installation banquet will be held on Thursday evening, June 25, at Riverbend Restaurant at 6:30 p.m.

Josey is a senior and is the daughter of Don and Sally Bush. Her activities include Beta Secretary, FBLA, FFA, FCCLA, Prom Committee, Varsity Basketball, A+, and Senior Class Secretary. Her hobbies include showing sheep. She plans to attend University of Missouri and major in Pre-vet.
VIOLET HAMPTOM (April)****
Violet is a senior and is the daughter of Wade and Tammy Hampton. Her activities include Beta Treasurer, FBLA Treasurer, FFA, FCCLA, Prom Committee, Varsity Basketball, A+, and Senior Class Treasurer. Her hobbies are gardening, yoga, and working out. She plans to attend OTC and complete the two year physical therapy assistant program after graduation.
Spotlight on New Members
Tonya is Superintendent of Thayer School. She is married to Allen Woods, Superintendent of Gatewood School. They have two children, Atley and Grayson. Tonya graduated from Mammoth Spring High School in 1993. She received her B.S. from MSU-Springfield in Speech and Theatre; a Master's in Secondary Counseling from MSU-Springfield; a Master's in Administration from SBU in Bolivar; Specialist Degree from SBU in Bolivar; and is currently on track to complete her Doctorate in May from Lindenwood University in St. Charles.
Tonya has taught in Seneca and Springfield; been a Counselor in East Newton and Carl Junction; Principal at Doniphan and Couch; and Superintendent at Gatewood.
Mark is the Assistant Principal at Thayer High School, He is Married to Megan Pitts, Thayer Elementary Counselor and has two children, Landry and Cannon, and a daughter on the way. Marc graduated from Thayer High School in 1998. He received a B. S. in PE and Health from Williams Baptist College, and a Master's Degree in Administration from William Woods University.
Marc taught at Kosh two years, Alton three years, and has been at Thayer for seven or eight years.
