Rotarian Catharine McPherson presented an informative program on ALS also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.
Bill Orendorff presented a Rotary Foundation Minute on the beliefs of the architect of the Rotary Foundation, Arch Klumpf, RI President 1916-1917.
BOARD MEETING: There was a Rotary Board Meeting on Tuesday, August 19, at noon at Fred's Fish House. The board approved two applications for membership, Tonya Woods and Marc Pitts. They approved a social event for members and their families on Tuesday, November 18, at Biggers Bluff Steak House in Hardy.
GUN DRAWING: Members were asked to sell tickets for the gun drawing to be held on October 22. Two guns have been donated this year.
FOUNDATION: Bill Orendorff announced that PDG and District 6080 Foundation Chair Raymond Plue will present a program on the Foundation on November 5.
DISTRICT CONFERENCE: The 6080 District Conference will be held in Jefferson City on Oct. 31-Nov. 1.
