Rotarian Scott Ream presented an interesting powerpoint of his 2013 VOSH International Eye Care Trip to Bhutan in Southeast Asia.
Bill Franz presented a Foundation Minute on "Rotary Success with Polio Plus Campaign." There are still three countries that have cases of polio (Nigeria, Afghanistan, and Pakistan). More than two billion children have received polio vaccines and have been protected.

ELECTION OF 2015-2015 BOARD MEMBERS DECEMBER 17: The results of the Election are: President-Steve Russell, Mike Harber-President Elect, Ken McKenzie-Vice President, Bill Franz-Treasurer, Jennifer Crowe-Secretary. The Board Members are Doyle Fink and Neil McWilliams.
BOARD MEETING: There was a Board meeting on January 13 at noon at Fred's Fish House. Susan McNeal reviewed the highlights of the board meeting. Members will receive a copy of the proposed constitution via email. The vote to approve the amended constitution will be February 4.
ST. JUDE'S RADIOTHON: Bob Eckman announced that the RADIOTHON will be held on February 11. Their goal this year is $200,000.
ROTARY CLUB OF MTN. VIEW TRIVIA NIGHT: The Mtn. View Rotary Club will sponsor a Trivia Night on Monday, January 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the Family Youth Center, 306 Bay St. The cost is $10 per person. It is a fundraiser for their Imagination Library Program for preschool children in the MV/BT School District.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT FEDERAL FISH HATCHERY: Trena Spears announced that volunteers are needed to help in the Gift Shop at the Federal Fish Hatchery.

Spotlight on New Members
Tonya is Superintendent of Thayer School. She is married to Allen Woods, Superintendent of Gatewood School. They have two children, Atley and Grayson. Tonya graduated from Mammoth Spring High School in 1993. She received her B.S. from MSU-Springfield in Speech and Theatre; a Master's in Secondary Counseling from MSU-Springfield; a Master's in Administration from SBU in Bolivar; Specialist Degree from SBU in Bolivar; and is currently on track to complete her Doctorate in May from Lindenwood University in St. Charles.
Tonya has taught in Seneca and Springfield; been a Counselor in East Newton and Carl Junction; Principal at Doniphan and Couch; and Superintendent at Gatewood.
Mark is the Assistant Principal at Thayer High School, He is Married to Megan Pitts, Thayer Elementary Counselor and has two children, Landry and Cannon, and a daughter on the way. Marc graduated from Thayer High School in 1998. He received a B. S. in PE and Health from Williams Baptist College, and a Master's Degree in Administration from William Woods University.
Marc taught at Kosh two years, Alton three years, and has been at Thayer for seven or eight years.
