Jennie Underwood from the Oregon County History Club gave an interesting program on the history and reprinting of the Oregon County History Book I.
Jason Greer presented a Rotary Foundation Minute on the Annual Fund.
NEW MEMBERS: September 10: Doyle Fink inducted two new members: Tonya Woods, Superintendent of Thayer School; and Marc Pitts, Assistant Principal of Thayer High School.
DISTRICT GOVERNOR VISIT: District Governor Joe Beltz will visit our club on October 15.
BOARD MEETING: There was a Rotary Board Meeting on Tuesday, September 9, at noon at Fred's Fish House. The Bylaws Committee presented the proposed changes to the Board. The membership will vote on the proposed changes. A committee (Ruth, Trena, Jennifer, Ed, and Susan) was appointed to plan the Social Event on November 18 at Biggers Bluff will meet at 11:00 a.m. on Sept. 17 at Riverbend.
GUN DRAWING: Members were asked to sell tickets for the gun drawing to be held on October 22. Two guns have been donated this year.
FOUNDATION: Bill Orendorff announced that PDG and District 6080 Foundation Chair Raymond Plue will present a program on the Foundation on November 5. The District 6080 Foundation meeting will be held on November 15 at the Reynolds Alumni Center in Columbia.
DISTRICT CONFERENCE: The 6080 District Conference will be held in Jefferson City on Nov. 1-2.

HALEY EARLS (September)
Haley is a senior and is the daughter of Jeannie and Marty Earls. Her activities include BETA President, Student Council Vice Presiden, FBLA Vice President of Human Relations, FCCLA Vice President, and Basketball.
TYLER SMITH (September)
Tyler is a senior and is the son of Amy Smith and Randy Smith. His activities include FFA Sentinel, FCCLA, National Honor Society, BETA, and Baseball.
ANDREW GARRISON (September)
Andrew is a senior and the son of Tim and Sarah Garrison. His activities include Cross Country, Track, Basketball, Baseball, Student Council, Beta Vice President, FBLA Vice President, FCCLA, Youth for Christ, Science Club, Sophomore Pilgrimage, Boys State 2014, and Senior Class President.
SAMANTHA SCHALNUS (October)
Samantha is a junior and is the daughter of Jay and Robin Schalnus. Her activities include Beta Historian, FBLA Historian, FCCLA, Cross Country, and Junior Class Treasurer.

Isophere is a senior and is the daughter of Teresa Lancaster and Rocky Pierce. Her activities include FFA Vice President, FBLA, BETA, and FCCLA.
TEANNA SIMPSON (September)
Teanna is a senior and is the daughter of Melody and Robert Simpson. Her activities include FBLA President, FCCLA, BETA President, FFA President, Softball, and Basketball.
Spotlight on New Members
Tonya is Superintendent of Thayer School. She is married to Allen Woods, Superintendent of Gatewood School. They have two children, Atley and Grayson. Tonya graduated from Mammoth Spring High School in 1993. She received her B.S. from MSU-Springfield in Speech and Theatre; a Master's in Secondary Counseling from MSU-Springfield; a Master's in Administration from SBU in Bolivar; Specialist Degree from SBU in Bolivar; and is currently on track to complete her Doctorate in May from Lindenwood University in St. Charles.
Tonya has taught in Seneca and Springfield; been a Counselor in East Newton and Carl Junction; Principal at Doniphan and Couch; and Superintendent at Gatewood.
Mark is the Assistant Principal at Thayer High School, He is Married to Megan Pitts, Thayer Elementary Counselor and has two children, Landry and Cannon, and a daughter on the way. Marc graduated from Thayer High School in 1998. He received a B. S. in PE and Health from Williams Baptist College, and a Master's Degree in Administration from William Woods University.
Marc taught at Kosh two years, Alton three years, and has been at Thayer for seven or eight years.
